Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, Lori Namur

Bonnie presented a $200 check to Lori Namur, executive director of the Woman’s Fund. The Women’s Fund has been promoting positive change in the lives of Fond du lac area women and girls since 2004. Fond du lac says “No More” is their current initiative, addressing the issue of violence against women and children in our area. They work with the police departments, ASTOP, Solution Center, Agnesian Domestic Violence department to achieve this goal. This is a three year focus. Year one is community awareness and engagement. Year two is to actively engage men and boys in outreach strategy. Year three is to educate the community on the dynamics of healthy relationships. Help them take a stand for “No More.” To help, there will be a bystander training this fall. To fund these activities, they host Power of Purse fund raiser. They have donated over $190.000 since 2004. For more information or to volunteer go to www.fdlwomensfund.com
