How to Find the Purest Coffee in Fond du Lac

Monday Morning

There were 14 members plus one guest, Annie Culver at our Monday meeting. Jim was our greeter. Dan had grace.  Charlene had humor.  Gary had a happy buck. Boys/Girls Club have their annual fund raiser “Reach for the Stars” February 9th at Holiday Inn. Jim was our winner and loser. He drew the six of shades. There are 43 cards left and a pot of $142.00. Annie’s Fountain City Cafe, Annie Culver

Annie and her husband Gary purchased the old McKnight’s Drug store. It has always been her dream to have a coffee shop. They just reached the two year mark. They are not a Sysco company. They use Farm To Table Coop, Bakers Pride and Butcher Block .The soups and cookies are homemade. New items are catering and a gift shops. She has 14 part time employees.  They have no TV’s but they do have a” Pay it forward Wall”. On Wednesday, they have “open mic night”. Extra good news, they won a Main Street makeover contest. First prize is $10,000. You can visit their Facebook page or stop in for a visit.

Merry Christmas from Kiwanis

There were 19 members and 14 guests at our Monday meeting. In addition, we were joined by seven Key Clubbers; Ashley Waldvogel, Rachel Hays, Nate Arkin, Abe Stoffel-Murray, Elizabeth Ziequr, Hannah Joslin & Anistyn Dreifuerst. Glen & Pete were our greeters. Harry had grace.  Dawn had a happy buck.  Charlene presented candy bags to the Cardinal Singers. Dave & Becky were our winner and loser. They drew the seven of diamonds. Fondy High Cardinal Singers, Annual Family Christmas Party

We were entertained by the 2017 Cardinal singers. It was a great way to start the Holiday Week. In addition to numerous performances during this week, the Singers were part of Night of silence at the High School last week . Charlene arranged for all Singers to take away a holiday candy bag. Pete presented a holiday check to their director Corey Schneider. Corey also joined us for breakfast. Special thanks to Pete for setting up the program, Charlene for setting up the breakfast and the Cardinal singers.

There were 14 members and one quest at our Monday meeting. Jordan Skiff  was our guest speaker. Charlene and Steve were our greeters. Jackie had grace.  Gary had a happy buck. Charlene had humor. Charlene needs candy for the Cardinal Singers. Mark started the signup sheet for the December 4th Bell ringing. Gary Miller was our winner and loser. He drew the six of clubs. City of Fond du Lac, Jordan Skiff

Jordan is the Director of Public works. He presented a number projects in the City of Fond du Lac that will need financial help in the future. There is need to do the final dress up on the bike loop. Plans are to redo the pavilion in Lakeside Park. It will start in 2020 and finish in 2021. The $200,000 is in the budget for the splash pad in 2018. For the Sturgeon Spectacular, there will be ice skating on Oven Island. Plans are to add a number of kayak launches in different area of the park. They would like to do a second Police Memorial on the new Police Memorial Dr. The Miracle Baseball League would like a new diamond at Plamore Park. The Friends of McDermott Park want to add more items. Other construction in the city is work on Fond du Lac Ave. in 2018. In 2020, they will add a roundabout at the K/C hall.
