Monday Morning

There were 14 members and one guest at Monday’s meeting. Mike Bonertz was our guest. Harry and Chris were our greeters. John did the grace. Steve had any humor. Bonnie and John had happy bucks. We will have final figures by the Pork Fest wrap up meeting, Oct. 25th 6:45 Faros. Start your Christmas List, Harry will have the popcorn sheets on Monday. Rewards winners, get your CHARITY to Harry.  Jackie received her plaque for going President. Chris Serres had received her plaque for “Kiwanian of the Year”. Gary Miller was winner and loser. ADVOCAP, Mike Bonertz

Advocap is a private corporation formed in 1964. They are Community Corporation serving Green Lake, Winnebago and Fond du Lac County. Board is made up of 1/3 government member, 1/3 community leaders, and 1/3 lower income individuals. Some of programs that they offer: Home Energy Conservation, Weatherization and Furnace Program. They provide Affordable Housing and Home Rehabilitation. As part of these programs, they train future carpenters. Their Businesses Development services help low to moderate income individuals become self-sufficient through self-employment. Winnebago County offers a Senior Nutrition Program. They offer Head Start for low income families and children.
