Speaking of programs for the future, get information to Dave or myself. We have donated money to support Dream Catchers. They have two games in May, the 7th and 21st. Save the dates, more detail on the group to follow.

Key Club Breakfast

The Key Club provided a great breakfast on Monday. In addition to introducing this year’s officers and next year’s officers, they listed all their projects for the year. They had over fifty community events and programs on their chart. The newest event was the Teddy Bear sleep over at the library. Thirty teddy bears stayed overnight with the Key Club members. They put together a power point of the bear’s activities. In addition the kids got story and book from Storybook Land of the Key Club. The Key Club was chartered in 1991. Chris Stelmacher has been one of the advisors for twenty five years. Gary Miller presented a plaque for her years of service. In addition, Gary presented a monetary award to both Chris and Sandy for their service to Key Club. We thank both Chris and Sandy. Mandy Liebenow was introduced as the new advisor with Chris. Principal Michelle Hagen and two other assistant principals were also introduced. Again thank you to the Key Club.

North Fond du Lac High School Key Club

Jean Hintze, NFDL Horace Mann Key Club Advisor, and a number of NFDL Key Clubbers welcomed us on Monday morning for our Annual Appreciation Breakfast.  No one should have gone away hungry as they provided a wonderful variety of bagels, breakfast sweets, various fruit offerings and juice and coffee.  Jean turned the program over to the Key Clubbers and they led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Key Club Creed.  The current officers then introduced next year’s list of officers.  They noted that they had 62 members this year and raised almost $503 from five different fund raisers.  They also detailed all of the activities/money donated back to the community. They donated $2,319 back to a number of causes in addition to a total of over 2,080 hours of volunteer time to a long list of causes/agencies.  The list included things such as Friendship Learning Center Halloween Party, NFDL Optimist Pancake Breakfast, Friendship Learning Center Tutoring, Autism Child Care and many, many more.  The group then talked about a special project (Riley’s Project) that provided household/personal care items to needy families.  The NFDL Key Club also had another banner year of Excellence Award Winners (Five Members) at this Spring’s DCON.  The NFDL Key Club Scholarship Awardees; Riley Behnke, Shelby Demboski, Nicole Fox, Alexus Kraus and Elizabeth Redmond were introduced and gave a brief report of where they’re going to college and what they hope to study.  And finally, the new officers unveiled their goals for next year; new volunteer venues, 10 Excellence Award Winners at DCON, Polar Plunge continued success and continue to collaborate with NHS and Student Council.  GREAT JOB!!
