Merry Christmas!

Monday Morning

There were 19 members at our Monday meeting plus twenty seven guests. We had Dick Taddey from the Noon Club plus twelve family members. Dale Witte, chorale director plus thirteen students from the Academy Kids had breakfast with us before their performance. Dale and the students were from Winnebago Lutheran Academy.  Gary Ring was our greeter. Dan had grace.  Special thanks to Gary Miller and Jan for putting the Christmas program together. Gary had Christmas bags for all the singers. Pete won again and drew the eight of clubs, no winner.  We have 39cards, 6 winners and a pot of $200.00. Side note – Del is at home and loves visitors.  Remember that we have a Kiwanis web page and Facebook. If you are on Facebook, like our page.  We have a projector for our speakers; please contact Dawn if you need it. Speaking of programs for the future, get information to Jackie or myself. Member names are being added under Programs for your future dates.

Dale Witte, WLA Academy Kids

We were treated to many new and old Christmas carols. The Academy Kids were from Winnebago Lutheran Academy. Dale and the student intern from Martin Luther College directed the student in their Christmas Carols. WLA is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. And it is the second oldest WELS High Schools in Wisconsin. Both the students and their intern finished up the school on Thursday. Special thanks to Dale and the students. It was a great way to start the holiday season. More information on Winnebago can be found at www.wlavikings.org

Christmas with Kiwanis

Merry-Christmas-2014-text-2

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Kiwanis of Fabulous Fond du Lac. While we will still be meeting regularly through the holidays, our meetings will be much more informal, so we will not be posting news updates over next two weeks. This Monday we had our Kiwanis Christmas party with family, friends, and entertainment; our New Year’s meeting will be a round-table discussion in anticipation of the coming year. Enjoy some time with your own family and friends through these two weeks; we’ll get back to our more regular schedule in January.
