Kiwanis Happenings – December 22

On behalf of all of the Kiwanis of Fabulous Fond du Lac, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Monday Morning
We had 23 members at Monday’s Family Christmas breakfast along with 27 family members and guests. Twenty four of the guests were family members and/or friends but we did have three additional guests that are potential members and/or soon to be members. Patrick Friedel has completed an application for membership and Kari Baker and Craig Zitzrow are checking us out for possible membership. Mark Luttenberger thanked everyone that rang bells for the Salvation Army last Monday. We had several “Happy Buck” offered up by members; Mark Luttenberger in thanks for all of our bell ringers, Gary Ring for his son Cory moving back to Madison from California and Bonnie Baerwald for everyone that attended our Christmas Social last Thursday night. Gary Miller was able to put together an InterClub to the Noon Club next Tuesday, December 27th. John Cooper was the 50/50 Raffle winner and he drew the three of spades, no winner this time. Gary Ring reported after the meeting that there’s $149 in the pot with 41 cards left, 6 of them winners.

Fondy Cardinals Singers
Twenty three members of the Fondy Cardinal Singers joined us at Monday’s Christmas Breakfast as our entertainment. The spirited group came in singing, sang non-stop during their set, and went out singing as well. Those young ladies and gentlemen did an outstanding job. It was a great way to kick off the week before Christmas. Thanks to the Fondy Cardinal Singers for a wonderful performance.

Holiday Meetings
The next two Monday meetings (12/26 & 1/2) will be Roundtables at the Ramada Hotel Cibo Restaurant – side dining room. The meeting starts at our normal time but is strictly a time to have breakfast and enjoy each other’s company. We’ll be ordering off the menu so come and enjoy.
