Monday Morning
We had 21 members by the end of our Monday meeting along with five guests from the Noon Club. Mitch Loomans was inducted at the beginning of our meeting as our newest member which brought us to 21 members at Monday’s meeting. Noon Club members visiting were Ray Farr, Don Kurki, Joan Pinch, Sue Schnorr and Dick Taddy. “Happy Bucks” were offered by Vickie Goldapske for Jack raising $30 while ringing bells with Mom last Tuesday, Gary Ring for our newest member Mitch, John Cooper for his retirement announcement effective December 31st, Steve Millin for the Rose Bowl bound Badgers and Joan Pinch for being happy to be joining us on Monday morning. Bonnie Baerwald was the 50/50 Raffle winner and she drew the Queen of Diamonds. Close but no cigar. Next week’s drawing will have 43 cards with nine pay cards and a pot of at least $117. Good luck.

Vickie Goldapske-Chiropractic Doctor
Vickie noted that the official beginning of the chiropractic profession dates back to 1895 when Daniel David Palmer restored the hearing of Harvey Lillard by manually adjusting his neck and something told him that he was on to something good. Two years later, in 1897, Dr. Palmer went on to begin the Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, which continues to train doctors of chiropractic to this day. Vickie also noted that while chiropractic has long been associated with manipulation, they also are very supportive of wellness. She then told us about God’s Pharmacy with the following descriptions:

  • Carrots – Eye health
  • Tomatoes – Heart health
  • Grapes – Hearth and blood health
  • Walnuts – Brain health
  • Kidney beans – Kidney health
  • Avocados, eggplant & pears – Female womb and fertility health
  • Figs – Male reproductive health
  • Sweet Potatoes – Pancreas health
  • Olives – Ovary health
  • Citrus Fruits – Female breast health
  • Onion – Body cell health

As Vickie noted, there’s a lot more to chiropractic than just spinal manipulation. The whole person is their focus.
